The Ocean Cleanup
It is forecast that by 2050 there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish. This charity aims to clear up the plastic from the world’s oceans and recycle it, along with measures to intercept plastic flowing in to the oceans from the world’s most polluting rivers.
World Wildlife Fund
I have supported this charity for a long time. For me, their work trying to save the Amazon rain forest and other crucial ecosystems is vital, along with their work to avoid extinction of some of our most precious wildlife e.g. the mountain gorillas of Uganda, which I was lucky enough to experience first hand in 2019.
Queenscourt Hospice – Southport
In my mum’s final few days in 2014 she was transferred to this amazing place, full of the kindest, most compassionate people you could possibly hope to meet. They made her last days so peaceful it was a fitting end to a beautiful life. I will always be grateful to the team for making this happen for my family and countless others.
